We provide funding for Japan-related arts and cultural activities across the UK, as well as organizing events here at our London office and throughout the country. Our work is divided into four main areas of Performing Arts; Visual Arts; Film; and Publication, and we are also able to assist with bringing a range of cultural specialists to the UK. How Can Drama & Theatre Offer a Place for Children and Young People?
Japan & UK Perspectives: Seminar and Workshop
A half-day seminar at the Japan Foundation will be looking at best practice for creating a place for children in the community through theatre and drama. Some recent successful cases from Japan and the UK will be introduced through presentations by leading practitioners and academics from both countries.
Then the following day, a facilitator from each country will run workshops together to help develop skills and ideas for practitioners who wish to explore this area.
