Traditional Theater Training 2011

Traditional Theatre Training (T.T.T.) seeks artists, scholars, and students, regardless of nationality or gender, who have a passion for learning Japanese traditional techniques (including Noh, Kyogen and Nihonbuyo) to take part in this unique residency programme in Kyoto this summer. During this wide-ranging three week programme, participants have a chance to be deeply immersed in traditional theatre forms and learn from practiced Japanese traditional theatre professionals.

Call for Artists
Akiyoshidai International Art Village Residence Program

Akiyoshidai International Art Village has supported cultural and philosophical exchange among international artists through the artists in residence program since its inauguration in 1998. The aim of the Residence Support Program is to support young artists’ experimental artistic activities, crossing the borders of art disciplines and nationalities. The program selection committee hopes that selected artists will actively communicate with local people in Yamaguchi, participate in different projects, including workshops, lectures, school visits and exhibitions.

Period of residency: 12 January - 22 March 2012 (70 days)
Application deadline: 1 August 2011
